The Disenchantment of Two Women in a Separate Place

'Out! Why, what could have taken you out on Tuesday? What did you have to do?'

'Nothing. I simply felt like going out, and I went out.'

Moral obligations? Masked men? Ah, the story of Edna and Sarah's lives.

Two women fight against victimisation in a contemporary world in this original live cinema production, loosely based on Kate Chopin's 'The Awakening' and Graham Greene's 'The End of the Affair'.

Featuring excerpts from the texts, our first production is a look into how narratives are constructed and framed, on the page and in a theatrical space. We ask you to watch with an open mind, and prepare for the unexpected...

The show was first presented as part of Brighton Fringe 2021.
